What it does
StarWind V2V Converter converts virtual-machine formats and supports physical-to-virtual workflows. The product lists VHD/VHDX, VMDK, QCOW2, and IMG formats and several hypervisor destinations.
Choose a source environment and destination route rather than treating every VM move as a file rename. The physical-disk wizard starts with P2V, selects a Windows disk, chooses a local or hypervisor destination and VHD/VHDX format, then selects growable or pre-allocated storage and an output path. Existing VM-image and direct snapshot-based routes address other starting points, with VHD/VHDX, VMDK, QCOW2 and IMG listed. The converter is free; AWS/Azure moves still use the relevant cloud environment and guest requirements.
