What it does
RIPEstat combines Internet datasets into IP-address and ASN visualizations, including routing history, prefix distributions and an API.
Search an address, ASN or hostname in RIPEstat, then choose the dataset that answers the routing question. Routing History shows prefix announcements, origins and first hops observed by RIS collectors; it is not a live packet path from every network. The Data API returns JSON and exposes methodology, version and historical-availability metadata for endpoints. Preserve the source and time window when comparing earlier events. API responses identify cached results and endpoint support status. The documentation allows eight concurrent requests per IP and asks regular users planning more than one thousand requests a day to register.
