What it does
PureText is a Windows tray utility that strips clipboard text formatting and can paste the result through a configurable hotkey.
Copy text from a web page or document, then use the PureText hotkey to convert and paste it into the active window. This is useful when the destination should apply its own font and paragraph style. The tray icon can instead clean the clipboard before a normal paste. Configure the hotkey through the tray icon's Options menu. PureText removes rich formatting while leaving the actual text intact: it does not repair line breaks, tabs or word wrapping, and it does not strip tags from copied HTML source. The utility is free to use.
