What it does
StrawPoll creates online polls and meeting votes with sharing links, deadlines, participation settings, and live result charts. Paid access adds options such as advertisement-free participation.
Set participation rules before sharing a StrawPoll link. IP-based duplicate checking can obstruct a group using one public connection, such as a classroom; the setup guide offers cookie-based checking for that situation. Advanced Options adds a deadline and choices such as requiring a voter name or a registered account.
Requiring names creates a results table linking each entered name with its choice. After choosing the settings, select Create Poll, then Copy Link to share it. Results opens the live charts.
For a poll created without an account, administration access is stored in browser cookies and can disappear when they are cleared. An account preserves that management access.
Free and paid participation
Free access allows unlimited polls and votes with advertisements, plus 50 email invitations per month. Paid plans have these monthly allowances:
| Plan | Ad-free votes | Email invitations |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 500 | 500 |
| Pro | 5,000 | 5,000 |
| Business | 50,000 | 50,000 |
Pro adds shared workspaces and removal of StrawPoll branding; Business adds custom logos and CSS. Annual subscriptions and fixed-term purchases are available. An ad-free allowance controls presentation for that many votes; it does not cap the number of people who can participate.
