What it does
TextConverter combines text and line operations with CSV/XML editing, encoding controls, and file splitting or joining.
TextConverter applies ordered text and line actions, with line restrictions and references for repeated cleanup. Basic is portable Windows freeware for non-commercial use, limited to three files and three text or line actions per run. Pro editions allow commercial use; CSV, XML and command-line or scripting functions depend on the specific edition. All editions save plain text, while paid document or spreadsheet exports do not make binary Office files editable as plain text. Check encoding before saving: the GUI warns about unrepresentable characters, which can become question marks if you continue. Script and command-line saves omit that warning.
Strengths
- Action lists combine editing steps
- References reuse text and file information
Watch out for
- Structured action lists and script control depend on the edition
Best for
- Batch cleanup of text exports
