What it does

SubManager tracks recurring payments on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with Apple Watch and Vision Pro companions. Unlimited subscription entries are free, and no separate account is required. Paid SubManager+ adds tools for trials, categories, calendars and exporting your records.

The remaining subscription spend for this month answers a different question from the yearly total. SubManager shows both, along with the monthly average. Add your recurring payments on an Apple device and use iCloud to keep the list together; reminders can arrive up to 90 days before renewal.

Free and paid options

These are one-time US App Store prices, with the free app available indefinitely.

Option Price Included access
Free US$0 Unlimited entries, reminders, basic insights and widgets
SubManager+ US$9.99 Categories, payment methods, trial tracking, Calendar and CSV, PDF or JSON exports
SubManager+ Family US$17.99 The paid features shared through Apple Family Sharing

In the paid Calendar, select a date to see the charges due then. Smart Import can turn screenshots or documents into proposed entries: check, edit or remove each result before saving. Saving those imports requires SubManager+ and a device that supports Apple Intelligence. Free users can preview the import results.

Strengths

  • Price history preserves changes to a subscription's cost.
  • Expired subscriptions can be archived, and lifetime purchases can be kept in the list.

Watch out for

  • The web and Windows viewer is read-only; editing needs an Apple device.
  • Changing the app icon is unavailable on Mac and Vision Pro.

Best for

  • People checking which renewals fall on the same date
  • Households that want to share the paid upgrade through Apple Family Sharing
