What it does
Subtitle Tools provides subtitle format conversion, timing shifts, cleaning, merging, and extraction. Its catalogue includes routes from picture-based SUP and SUB/IDX subtitles to SRT.
A constant offset needs the subtitle shifter; a file that drifts in only some sections needs the partial shifter. Choose the correction before converting the output format. Separate converters handle text-based captions and picture-based subtitle sources, and the catalogue also offers UTF-8 encoding conversion for troublesome text files.
The SRT converter accepts batches of up to 50 files or a ZIP and provides individual or ZIP downloads. SRT loses ASS/WebVTT positioning and effects; MicroDVD conversion uses an FPS hint, otherwise assuming 23.976 fps. Premium raises upload batches to 200 and adds settings retention, filename-prefix control and other privileges. The default prefix changes the filename only, not caption contents. Developer API use requires a token and paid credits.
