What it does
SugarWOD connects gym workout programming with athlete logs and community features. Its free athlete app includes personal workout tracking, notes and history, while gyms pay subscriptions based on registered athletes for the shared workout platform.
Before class, the gym whiteboard shows the prescribed workout and coach announcements. Movement videos and lift-percentage references can help interpret the planned session. Afterwards, athletes can record results, add notes and view personal records rather than relying on a temporary board in the gym.
The personal logbook also accepts workouts done elsewhere, and the account can remain with the athlete when changing gyms. Independent athletes can use the app without joining a box. Social feeds, comments and fist bumps are optional parts of the community experience, with privacy controls and workout export available. Gym subscription charges adjust with the number of registered athletes, which is distinct from the free individual's app access.
