What it does
SunCrypto provides INR crypto buying and selling, a browser futures interface and a separate OTC desk for negotiated trades. Individual customers must be Indian citizens and residents, physically in India when using the service, and at least 18. Registration and identity verification precede trading.
SunCrypto’s spot service handles direct INR purchases. Its separate browser futures product uses margin and contracts, while the OTC desk supplies negotiated quotes. Recurring purchases sit in the SIP feature, so a scheduled purchase and an open futures position have different controls and risks.
Opening and funding the app
Registration on Android or iOS takes a name, phone number, email, password and four-digit MPIN. The Complete Your KYC screen offers Auto and Manual identity checks. Auto uses PAN, an emailed verification link, DigiLocker and a selfie. Manual accepts PAN details, an identity document and a selfie holding the ID. A submitted application still needs approval.
The INR purchase guide then links a bank account and funds the balance through a supported bank-transfer route. Find the asset in the INR market, tap BUY, enter the amount, and use PAY followed by the MPIN. Completed holdings appear in the portfolio. Buying an asset does not prevent losses if its market price falls.
Fees depend on the product
Account opening and SIP setup carry no fee, but trading is charged. Futures lists 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker fees, excluding GST. Funding payments can apply to positions held at a funding time, and liquidation has a separate charge. These futures rates are not a universal spot-trading price. The fee calculator distinguishes entry and exit orders and whether each adds or takes liquidity.
