What it does
Capo analyses music-library recordings for chords, beats and key and supports music-learning workflows.
Open an audio file you own, such as MP3, WAV, AIFF, M4A or FLAC, and study its chords, beats and key. Edit a detected chord when your ear suggests a different harmony, then slow or loop the passage. Capo processes the music locally and works offline on Mac, iPhone and iPad; protected Spotify or Apple Music streams are not usable files.
The Free Edition includes core analysis and practice tools but does not save chord/beat edits or export audio. MIDI and lead-sheet export are paid Mac features. Saved projects can sync through iCloud Drive.
