What it does
Sony Imaging Edge Desktop groups Remote, Viewer and Edit workflows with RAW development and camera-specific composite processing features.
Remote handles capture, Viewer selection and Edit development. After adjusting a RAW image in Edit, use Output to choose JPEG or TIFF, filename, compression, color space and pixel size; Viewer also supports developing a selected set. Camera-specific processing needs its own compatibility check. Extended RAW processing, for example, requires a model-file download for the shooting camera and can output AXR for later development or JPEG/TIFF copies. The current main requirements list Windows 11 on Intel/AMD and exclude Windows ARM, alongside supported macOS versions. Sony also instructs users to start the suite and components online after installation. Keep the component version and camera model with a repeatable workflow.
