What it does
surf is a small WebKitGTK browser whose manual documents cookie policies, JavaScript toggles, proxy use and TLS-certificate inspection.
surf exposes browser policy through command-line flags and keyboard controls. Its cookie policy can accept all cookies, reject all cookies or reject third-party cookies; a separate flag chooses the cookie file. Ctrl-Shift-A cycles the policy without reloading the page, while Ctrl-Shift-S changes script execution and reloads. The title shows the active policy and other state, and Ctrl-T displays the current TLS certificate.
This is a small WebKitGTK browser for a technical Linux or BSD workflow. Navigation through Ctrl-G requires dmenu, and the project warns that the WebKit package needs separate maintenance. surf uses the MIT/X Consortium License; the rendering engine and surrounding tools have their own requirements.
