What it does
SurveyCTO collects survey data on mobile devices and the web, including follow-up work on existing cases. Server datasets connect a case's earlier details with its next form and later updates. Paid plans vary by forms and submissions; free Community access has smaller limits and requires a qualifying contribution each month.
A SurveyCTO form opened from a case receives that case's ID in caseid. The same form opened through Fill Blank Form leaves it empty. That difference determines whether a follow-up answer can identify an existing case.
To update the case dataset, map caseid to its id column and use caseid as the unique-record field. A matching ID updates a row; a new ID creates one. Extra dataset columns can preload information into later forms. Reusing updates immediately while offline requires Allow offline updates and the advanced offline capability.

Paid plans offer monthly or annual billing. The free Community plan includes 200 MB of storage and unlimited users and devices. Continued free access requires a qualifying monthly contribution to the SurveyCTO community, such as feedback or helping another user. Missing that requirement suspends the server until engagement resumes or a paid plan begins.
The 15-day trial needs no credit card. Registration asks for an email, password and a permanent server name, followed by email confirmation.
