What it does

Swat.io combines social planning and publishing with an optional Inbox for handling comments, messages and mentions. Tickets have owners, notes and activity history, with team permissions and separate workspaces for brands or clients. Business customers can start a 21-day trial without payment details; ongoing access needs a paid licence.

A Swat.io community ticket has one assigned owner at a time. That gives a team a concrete handoff point when a social comment needs a response from another department. Notes, mentions, tags and an activity log stay with the ticket; it can also be forwarded by email so an external reply returns to the same thread.

For a busy support shift, use channel and status filters to find active work, then the chronological comment list for volume handling. Keyword automations can hide or flag defined terms, and automatic assignment can route a request to a colleague. Each triggered automation is logged, which helps explain why a ticket moved or changed state.

Team size and add-ons

Plan Workspaces Channels Users Data storage period
Small 1 3 2 1 year
Medium 2 5 5 2 years
Large 3 8 8 Unlimited

Two Facebook Pages count as two channels. Inbox is an add-on for these plans; Custom and Agency packages include it. Assignment, tags, automations and AI reply suggestions start at Medium, while reply templates and the community contact history are Large features. Custom dashboards and automated reporting need the appropriate Insights add-on.

Monthly and annual billing are available, with prices excluding VAT. Start through the account creation link for a 21-day trial. You can switch the trial plan in administration settings, and activate the Inbox trial separately under License. Without payment information, the product is deactivated at trial expiry; adding a valid payment method enables automatic billing afterwards. Ending a product trial early deactivates it immediately, and it cannot be started a second time.

Strengths

  • Single-owner tickets and activity history support clear team handoffs
  • External email replies can return directly to the community ticket

Watch out for

  • Inbox is an extra in Small, Medium and Large; reporting may need an Insights add-on
  • Ticket assignment and automations start at Medium, with contact history and reply templates on Large

Best for

  • Social teams sharing publishing duties and a substantial response workload
