What it does

Tabby brings together pay-later checkout, a payment card and Cash services in the UAE. Pay Later and Tabby Card are provided by Tabby LLC, while Cash comes from Tabby Payments LLC. An account and approval are required for credit products; fee-free options sit alongside paid plans and service charges.

For an online purchase, select Tabby at checkout, register and link a repayment card. Approval depends on the order, store and account history. The first Pay in 4 installment is collected at checkout; keep the resulting schedule for the remaining payments. In a shop, the cashier can send the payment link by SMS or email.

The UAE checkout requires customers to be at least 18, hold a national identity document and valid repayment card, and meet its credit criteria. Card applications also require UAE residence and an account with suitable payment history. In the app, open Money, choose Get your card and complete the requested setup and identity checks.

Choose the payment arrangement

Option Published UAE cost
Checkout Pay in 4 No interest or fees
Checkout Pay over time 6, 8 or 12 months; service fees may apply and are shown before agreement
Tabby Card Free AED 0 per month; four-payment purchases outside partner stores can incur charges
Tabby Card Plus AED 49 per month; no Pay in 4 fees for purchases outside partner stores

Use the app to see past and upcoming payments and manage manual or automatic repayment. Card installments extend up to eight months; checkout schedules differ.

Strengths

  • A lost card can be frozen and reissued through the app.
  • Checkout reminders can arrive by text message, email or phone.
  • Cash supports transfers to UAE bank accounts and transfers using a recipient’s phone number.

Watch out for

  • Purchase decisions are automated, and customer support cannot override a declined order.
  • Tabby Card has published transaction ceilings of AED 10,000 per day and AED 120,000 per year, separate from the individual credit limit.

Best for

  • UAE customers comparing checkout and card repayment arrangements
  • People tracking several approved purchases and their due dates
