What it does
Tacitus Mail combines its own address with connected IMAP/SMTP accounts, calendar and contacts. It documents OpenPGP/MIME outbound encryption, tracker-image controls and EU hosting.
Tacitus Mail has two roles: it supplies a Tacitus address and can display existing accounts in the same inbox. Its product page describes connecting standards-based IMAP/SMTP mailboxes, so a move need not replace every address at once.
For privacy, the provider documents automatic PGP/MIME encryption where recipient keys are available, removal of tracking pixels and proxying of external images. Connected-account credentials are stored by the service in encrypted form, which is different from a client that keeps all account credentials only on the device. Include that account-access model in the decision to connect an important mailbox.
The page names WKD and keys.openpgp.org as recipient-key discovery routes. That makes published key availability part of deciding which external messages receive automatic PGP/MIME protection.
