What it does
TallyPrime combines accounting, invoicing, inventory and business reports. It supports different sales and purchase cycles, multiple price levels and foreign-currency records.
TallyPrime supports both order-based and direct sales or purchases. Choose the document flow that reflects the business rather than adding an order stage to every transaction. Debit and credit notes, invoices and payments then remain part of the accounting trail.
For wholesale and retail customers, separate price levels can hold quantity-based rates and discounts. Multi-currency records cover invoices, quotations, orders and payments, including exchange differences. The product also distinguishes actual from billed quantities, useful when the physical movement differs from the quantity charged.
A sales order can lead to a delivery note and invoice, or you can enter a direct cash sale. Credit sales link receipts back to invoices, while credit notes handle returns. Reports follow receivables and pending orders.
Silver licensing is for one system at a time; Gold lets several users work on shared data across a local network. TallyPrime offers perpetual purchases and time-limited rentals, plus a seven-day trial requested through a form. A perpetual purchase includes one year of Tally Software Services. Renewing that service is needed for subsequent product upgrades and connected functions such as online e-invoicing. Activate the product with the registered Account ID; licence details are under F1 (Help) > Settings > License > Manage License.
