What it does
Tandem Bank offers UK savings accounts managed in a mobile app, including Instant Access Saver, fixed-term savings and Cash ISAs. Instant Access Saver allows withdrawals and separate savings pots; fixed-term products restrict access. Applicants need to be at least 18, resident in the UK for tax and residence purposes, and hold a UK current account in their name.
Separate goals within Instant Access Saver
Tandem allows multiple pots inside one Instant Access Saver. Its primary pot connects with a verified external UK current account; additional pots divide the savings balance between purposes. Only one Instant Access Saver can be held, but the number of pots is not limited.
For scheduled deposits, open Instant Access Saver and select Set up a regular transfer. Daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly schedules are offered, with only one regular transfer active at a time. Statements are under Profile → Important documents → Savings statements.
Access rules to compare
Instant Access Saver has no minimum deposit and permits withdrawals whenever needed. The Fixed Term Saver has a 14-day funding window, then prevents additions and withdrawals until maturity. Fixed Rate Cash ISAs instead have an early-withdrawal penalty.
Savings accounts are currently opened in a sole name. Download the app and open an account, then connect a verified UK current account before arranging transfers.
