What it does

TARGIT Decision Suite connects modelled business data to dashboards, reports and drill-down analysis. A server mediates access, with separate Designer, Consumer and Consumer Plus roles.

TARGIT Decision Suite uses a server between the business data and its reporting clients. Authoring and everyday dashboard access have different requirements.

Role Work it supports
Designer Creates dashboards and reports in the Windows client
Consumer Opens prepared content in the browser, filters it and exports Excel or PDF output
Consumer Plus Changes prepared crosstabs and criteria within the measures and dimensions the Designer allows

For a new cloud deployment, first obtain the licence from TARGIT. Create an account at targit.cloud, add a tenant in the Cloud Control Panel and enter the licence. Set the sign-in method, connect the warehouse, then test access using Designer or the browser-based Anywhere client. The warehouse can remain on premises while the TARGIT server moves to the cloud.

New installations use subscription licensing; contact TARGIT for the quote. A separate 30-day download trial includes server and client components, sample dashboards and a demo warehouse. Consumer Plus editing still depends on the author having prepared the document for it.

Strengths

  • Supports drill-down from shared business dashboards.
  • Separates authoring from browser-based consumption.

Watch out for

  • Dashboard authoring uses the Windows Designer client.
  • Consumer Plus edits require documents prepared for that capability.

Best for

  • Teams delivering operational dashboards to authors and business users
