What it does
TD’s Canadian EasyWeb and mobile channels handle bills, payees and account transfers. Its guides explain how to review scheduled payments and cancel eligible payments already in progress. The Minimum Chequing Account costs CAD 3.95 monthly, with fee exemptions for specified groups and a limited transaction allowance.
Review a bill before it leaves your account
Adding a payee and scheduling a payment are separate steps. TD's Canadian guides cover both, alongside transfers between TD accounts and Interac e-Transfer. The destination determines which workflow to use.
To review or cancel a bill in the TD app:
- Sign in and select Move Money > Bills Payments.
- Choose the payment from recent activity, or View All to see all scheduled payments.
- Open the payment and review its details.
- Select Cancel Bill Payment, then Cancel to confirm. The app provides a confirmation for your records.
A payment made that day can be cancelled until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. After that, TD directs customers to the merchant. Its scheduled-payment guide also warns that cancelling the selected scheduled instruction cancels its future payments, which matters for a recurring bill.
Minimum Chequing costs
The standard monthly fee is CAD 3.95. It includes 12 transactions, with up to two handled at a branch or through EasyLine, plus unlimited eligible public-transit transactions. Additional transactions cost CAD 1.25 each.
Sending an Interac e-Transfer has no separate sending fee, but the transfer counts toward the account's monthly transaction allowance. Request Money costs CAD 0.50 for amounts up to CAD 100, or CAD 1 for larger requests.
There is no monthly fee for Guaranteed Income Supplement recipients, Registered Disability Savings Plan beneficiaries or Indigenous Peoples from Canada. Newcomers qualify for a first-year exemption.
Getting access
Apply from the account page online, by phone or at a branch. TD asks for valid identification and a Social Insurance Number for tax reporting. A TD banking account and digital access are needed to use EasyWeb or the app for payments; the public tutorials can be read before applying.
