What it does
Camtasia Editor combines screen recording and multitrack editing, including independently recorded screen, camera and audio layers.
Camtasia records the screen, webcam, microphone and system audio on separate tracks. A tutorial editor can change the camera presentation, adjust sound and refine the cursor's appearance or movement after capture. Imported footage can join the same edit.
The current FAQ says the full Editor can be used free, but exported videos carry a watermark until a qualifying paid plan or business licence is activated. Windows and Mac versions are offered. Compare the Editor entitlement with the wider Camtasia suite before paying for tools beyond the recording and editing job.
