What it does

Temple Wallet offers free Tezos mobile apps and a browser extension covering Tezos, Etherlink and other Ethereum-compatible networks. Its multi-wallet view includes token filters and controls for connected applications.

Temple's desktop and mobile products have different network scopes. The extension handles Tezos and supported Ethereum-compatible chains; the mobile app remains focused on Tezos. Choose the relevant platform before importing an account or expecting a token to appear.

The software-wallet route creates a local password and recovery phrase. Existing Tezos accounts can instead be imported with their phrase. The password opens that installation; the phrase is needed to recreate access on another device. There is no conventional Temple service account in this documented setup.

For a Tezos application connection, choose the site's wallet-connect option, select Temple and approve the wallet's connection request. Afterwards, use Temple's connection-management view to inspect attached applications and disconnect ones you no longer use. Treat a connection request separately from later payment or contract approvals.

The wallet software is free, with the browser extension published under the MIT license. Buying, swapping and blockchain transactions can still carry provider and network charges. Review the selected route's amount received and total cost rather than interpreting a wallet download price as a trading price.

Temple also offers TKEY token rewards and advertising features. Advertising can be disabled in settings. Android's optional Google cloud backup encrypts the phrase with a separately chosen password; keeping access to that password and cloud account is part of using that route. Rewards and token prices can change, and neither wallet organization nor a displayed token balance guarantees that an investment can be sold at the shown value.

Strengths

  • The mobile app can synchronize an existing Temple desktop wallet
  • A customizable token list keeps the portfolio display focused on selected assets
  • The mobile collectible gallery supports NFT viewing and transfers

Watch out for

  • The mobile product does not offer the extension’s full network coverage
  • Losing the software-wallet phrase can prevent restoration on another device

Best for

  • Tezos users working across a phone and browser extension
  • People reviewing application connections across supported desktop networks
