What it does
TestMy.net provides browser bandwidth tests for download and upload, with an automatic test option and a database of results.
Choose download, upload or combined testing, then set the frequency and repeat count for a series. The automatic test logs results for later retrieval in My Results; email alerts require signing in. TestMy.net calls the browser service free and documents manual sizes plus automatic adjustment up to 200 MB, so repeated runs can transfer substantial data. The automatic mode is designed for desktop use; mobile devices need to stay awake, focused on the test and powered. Multithread testing is optional and can mask issues that a linear test exposes. Compare the same server, direction, browser and mode when reviewing graphs or averages. These are samples of the selected browser-to-server path, not a universal line-speed guarantee.
