What it does
TextSniper captures text from images, videos, PDFs, presentations and other screen content that cannot be selected normally.
Start Capture Text from the menu bar or shortcut, select a screen region and paste the clipboard result. QR/barcode decoding and speech offer other uses. The publisher warns that symbol-heavy text, including code, can be misread. Language support varies with macOS: Catalina is English-only, with more languages listed for later releases. This is a one-time purchase, with separate one-Mac, three-Mac and App Store offers. The FAQ's one-Mac rule needs checking against the selected channel. Major upgrades and features can cost extra.
