What it does
Thala is an Aptos finance protocol whose Swap module offers stable, weighted and liquidity-bootstrapping pools. Its other modules cover the Move Dollar stablecoin and liquid staking. Each module creates a different type of holding or position.
Choose Thala Swap when the task is exchanging Aptos assets or supplying exchange liquidity. Stable pools serve assets intended to trade near one another; weighted pools allow a different balance of assets. Liquidity-bootstrapping pools are intended for token launches. The pool model therefore matters when comparing a market.
Supplying liquidity commits assets to a pool position. Buying a token through that pool is a separate action. Neither should be confused with Thala's collateralized Move Dollar module or its thAPT and sthAPT liquid-staking products. Start by identifying the module and the asset you expect to hold afterwards, then review that product's conditions before committing funds.
