National Allotment Society

Finding a plot and learning to use it are related but different tasks. The National Allotment Society provides a route for locating allotment information, then growing articles for the practical side of a plot. Begin with the local access question if you do not yet have a space; a crop guide is more useful once the plot's conditions and rules are known. Membership includes additional advice and benefits. Its legal and site-protection material concerns UK allotments, so use it as a route to the relevant society guidance rather than assuming it governs a garden elsewhere.
