What it does

The SEO Framework generates WordPress SEO metadata and provides an SEO Bar for page and term checks. A free core and extension system separate ordinary settings from additional paid capabilities.

The SEO Framework begins working when activated in WordPress. It fills metadata from the site's existing content and settings, so an editor can concentrate on pages that need a custom title or description. On post, term and user overview screens, the SEO Bar uses color-coded indicators with explanations available on hover or keyboard focus.

Core use is free and does not require a vendor account. Install it through the WordPress plugin search, then activate it for a single site or a network. Its sitemap follows publicly accessible content; a page marked noindex is excluded.

Optional extensions are supplied through Extension Manager. Paid plans are billed annually: Pro is USD 7 per month for two sites, Business is USD 17 for 20, and Agency is USD 27 for 200. They include different monthly request allowances for connected extension services.

The plugin deliberately omits analytics and 404 monitoring. It fits a site that wants automated search metadata and focused page controls while keeping traffic analysis and external auditing in separate tools.

Strengths

  • Generates metadata from the WordPress environment.
  • The SEO Bar places page and term checks in the editing workflow.

Watch out for

  • Analytics and 404 monitoring are outside the plugin's scope
  • Paid extensions have activated-site and monthly service-request allowances

Best for

  • WordPress maintainers preferring automated defaults with targeted edits
