What it does
Tightype publishes Macan, Macan Mono, Moderat, Habitas and Bull-5, and offers custom type services. Family pages combine style choices with character, language and OpenType feature information.
Macan’s solid and stencil letters share character widths, so a heading can change texture without changing its spacing. Its separate Macan Mono companion gives a related option for technical labels. On the Macan page, use Character Set, Language Support and Features to inspect the actual accents, numerals and alternates needed for the project. Hebrew and Thai are separate family choices in the purchase panel.
Buy Options separates desktop users, monthly web pageviews and app titles before the style selection. Web and app licences are yearly subscriptions that renew automatically. Purchases provide a download link: desktop and app files use OTF or TTF, while webfonts use WOFF and WOFF2. Trial licences for mockups and pitches are arranged by contacting the foundry.
Plan the team’s design environment as well as the finished artwork. Standard desktop coverage excludes uploading font files into Canva, Figma, shared drives or brand portals. Hosted workflows need an additional arrangement. Use the supplied webfonts rather than converting desktop files; the ordinary licence also prohibits webfont subsetting.
