What it does

TimelyBills combines personal category budgets, expense tracking and bill reminders. Paid family tools add shared budgets, joint bills and each member's contribution to household spending. The Free plan covers basic tracking; signup is required, with Google sign-in available.

For a spending limit, open Home > Budget, tap + and choose Personal Budget followed by Expense. Enter the amount, repeat frequency, category and account, then review the settings and select Create Budget. A weekly or fortnightly period can follow a pay cycle instead of a calendar month.

With family access, choose Family/Group Budget for shared groceries or household bills. Use the rollover setting to carry an unspent balance into the next period. To change an alert, open the budget details, tap the pencil and choose This and all future. Adjust the percentage beside the spending-alert label, then select Next and Update.
