What it does
Tinylytics combines traffic reports, events, uptime monitoring and content checks. A website script supplies activity, with API access and CSV exports for reporting.
Tinylytics combines site statistics with uptime, certificate and domain checks, plus crawls for broken links and mixed content. That combination is useful for a small site portfolio: a fall in recorded traffic can be investigated alongside availability and content problems.
| Plan | Site capacity | Main distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Zen | 2 sites | Core analytics and monitoring |
| Pro | 20 sites | More sites with the same core tools |
| Ultra | 50 sites | Adds team access, site groups, traffic alerts and SEO audits |
Paid plans include unlimited hits and history, subject to fair-use review above one million monthly hits. There is no permanent free plan. The 14-day trial needs an email/password account but no credit card.
For download measurement, enable the Events widget in the site's tracking settings and switch on Count outbound links, downloads, and forms. Downloads then appear as file.download events with the filename as their value. The site's Events tab groups them by category and supports CSV export.
For a particular button or link, use a data-tinylytics-event attribute such as button.subscribe. Events are stored separately from pageviews, so a click does not inflate the traffic count. Outbound links can use the Send hits with a beacon setting to reduce cancelled tracking requests when a visitor leaves.
Strengths
- Combines traffic and event reports with uptime and content checks.
- Keeps event counts separate from pageviews and supports CSV exports and API access.
Watch out for
- Site capacity depends on the plan, and high traffic is subject to fair-use review.
Best for
- Owners monitoring several small websites and their basic operational health
