What it does

UOB TMRW in Indonesia combines an Everyday Account for spending with a Savings Account and City of TMRW saving tools. The app supports bank transfers, QRIS payments and bill payments without a regular account administration fee. Applicants need to meet UOB's Indonesian citizenship, age and identity requirements.

Automatic saving with a spending buffer

Auto-save uses activity in the Everyday Account to move money into City of TMRW. UOB says it needs three to four months of transaction history before saving begins. Individual transfers range from Rp25,000 to Rp250,000, up to three times a week; the app decides each amount.

To enable it, select TMRW Savings Account on the dashboard, open City of TMRW and choose Auto-save. Its Pengaturan settings let you set a monthly cap, keep a minimum balance in the Everyday Account or pause saving. To return money to spending, open City of TMRW, select Tarik uang, enter an amount and check the details before confirming.

Payments and account charges

QRIS, Indonesia's standard QR payment system, is accessible from the login screen and requires the Secure PIN before payment. The app also handles bills and wallet top-ups, with reminders for bills.

The Everyday Account has no minimum balance or monthly administration fee. Transfers and bill payments through the TMRW app are free. At other banks' Bersama or Prima ATMs, up to 15 cash withdrawals per month are free when the balance immediately before withdrawal is at least Rp1,000,000; the normal fee is Rp7,500. A dormant account incurs Rp10,000 monthly. Internet-banking and branch transactions have separate charges, so the app's free transfer pricing should not be assumed to cover every channel.

Who can register?

The Indonesian TMRW FAQ requires applicants to be at least 21, Indonesian citizens, and neither US citizens nor born in the US. Have an eKTP electronic identity card ready. Choose Daftar in the app, complete the account application and follow the video-verification process. UOB may request an in-person identity check when video verification is insufficient. The account alone has no minimum income requirement; the optional credit-card application has additional requirements.
