What it does

Today’s Budget divides income after bills and savings into a daily spending amount. Unused money carries forward and overspending reduces later allowances. The free Apple-device app uses manual entries without a separate sign-up; Pro adds shared wallets, savings tools and CSV export.

Enter income and the costs already spoken for, including savings. The remaining money is spread over the period to produce today’s amount. A purchase reduces that figure; spending less leaves more for tomorrow. Large costs can be spread across a chosen period instead of overwhelming one day.

That daily figure is a planning allowance, not your bank balance. The app does not link to a bank, so its usefulness depends on keeping manual entries current. It also does not manage bill due dates or warn about overdue payments.

For irregular income, use +, Income, enter the amount and leave Repeating off. Turn on Spread it out to distribute that income across the period it needs to cover. A small one-off amount can go into today’s allowance.

Free tracking and Pro

Income, bills and the daily amount remain free. Pro adds unlimited categories and wallets, shared wallets, savings goals, insights and CSV export. The US App Store lists US$3.99 monthly, US$24.99 yearly or US$49.99 as a one-time purchase. The yearly and one-time options include Apple Family Sharing.

A savings goal sets aside part of the daily calculation toward an amount and date; it does not transfer money at a bank. Categories describe the spending in reports rather than imposing separate category budgets. Records stay on the device and, when used, in the owner’s iCloud account according to the developer.

Strengths

  • Daily balances carry underspending and overspending into later days.
  • Income and large expenses can be spread across the period they cover.
  • No bank connection or separate app registration is needed.

Watch out for

  • Manual entry is required to keep the daily allowance useful.
  • Categories do not have individual spending budgets.
  • Shared wallets, savings goals and CSV export require Pro.

Best for

  • People who prefer a daily spending amount to a category-budget grid
  • Apple users planning irregular income across a chosen period
