What it does

TokenSniffer analyzes token contracts, holder and liquidity data, and patterns associated with scams. Solidus Labs offers free individual token checks and paid API access for developers who need screening results inside another product.

TokenSniffer's Smell Test combines several checks into a token score. Read the individual findings beside that number: contract permissions, holder concentration and liquidity conditions answer different questions. The score can change when fees, ownership distribution or liquidity locks change. It is a screening signal, not a guarantee that a token will remain tradable or retain its value.

For developers, Get Token takes the blockchain identifier and token-contract address. The default response does not include the full metrics or test results. Request those with include_metrics and include_tests, and request contract comparisons separately with include_similar. Detailed metrics and tests are available only for the chains listed in that endpoint's documentation.

The response can be pending while analysis is prepared; block_until_ready changes whether the request waits for completion. Keep the API key on the server. The current endpoint authenticates with an X-API-Key header, and ordinary published limits include five requests per second and up to five pending token queries.

Sniffer Pack Pro costs $99 monthly or $1,128 annually, with 500 token requests per day. Repeat requests for the same token do not consume additional unique-token quota under the published rules. Enterprise starts at 5,000-plus daily token requests and uses a custom quote. A 14-day trial is available by request.

Strengths

  • Contract-similarity results help identify code reused across token projects
  • The API can provide the raw findings behind its summary score

Watch out for

  • Detailed tests are limited to the supported blockchains listed for the endpoint
  • A score can deteriorate as token permissions, ownership or liquidity change

Best for

  • Developers displaying token-screening findings alongside a contract address
  • Researchers checking individual warnings before investigating a token further
