What it does
Tokens Studio organizes shared design values, such as colors, spacing and typography, across design and code. Its Studio platform and Figma plugin support token sets, themes and delivery to other tools.
Save the Tokens Studio plugin to your Figma account, then open it in a design file. On the plugin's Tokens page, New Set creates a named set. Select its name to view its tokens, or switch to JSON view to inspect their underlying values.
To create Figma styles or variables, choose Styles & Variables, then Export Styles & Variables. Set the output options, choose the token sets to include and select Export to Figma. Each exported set becomes a variable collection; exporting from sets cannot create collection modes.
Current subscriptions combine Studio and paid plugin features as follows. Paid prices below are monthly equivalents with annual billing.
| Plan | Price | Included access |
|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | Studio: one editor, one project, one active branch, one export configuration |
| Team | €39/month | One editor, five projects, paid Figma plugin features |
| Organization | €499/month | Five editors, larger project capacity and priority support |
Additional editors cost extra. Free Studio allows one theme group with two options and does not include the plugin's Pro features. The Figma plugin also has free functionality.
Strengths
- A token set can be kept as a reference so its values resolve without exporting it as styles or variables.
- Viewer seats do not count toward Studio editor limits.
Watch out for
- When enabled sets contain identical token names, the lowest set in the list overrides values above it.
Best for
- Design-system teams managing tokens across design and code
