What it does
TorGuard offers consumer and business VPN access, port forwarding, dedicated-IP options and client controls including application kill switches and custom DNS.
TorGuard is useful to inspect when the default VPN client is too restrictive. Its page documents a full-connection or selected-app kill switch, custom DNS, scripting around connection events and import of custom WireGuard configurations. Those features give technical users more ways to fit a tunnel around existing applications.
The plans also distinguish shared access from dedicated-IP and business instances. Start with the required inbound port or stable-address behavior, then choose the matching offer rather than relying on the product's broad anonymity wording.
TorGuard's privacy page excludes VPN and proxy activity, connection-time and IP-assignment logs. It separately describes account and payment handling, support messages and Apache website logs. The website logs are regularly purged without a stated interval, while its self-hosted Matomo analytics uses masked IP addresses and a ninety-day purge period. Those website and account records remain relevant even when the VPN route uses shared addresses.
