What it does

TradesViz combines a trading journal, broker imports, charted executions, notes and interactive statistics. The free plan covers stock trades; paid plans add other markets and more extensive analysis.

TradesViz organizes journal data into trade tables, daily views, notes and charts with executions plotted on them. Its Simple Mode is a useful starting point: Tables > Trades shows individual records, Calendars > Month groups them by day, and Summary > Overall Stats provides the aggregate view.

Import the records that drive the reports

Open Import/Export from the profile menu, choose the trading account and broker, then follow that broker's file instructions. Check the file's timezone and currency before uploading. Import profiles also affect how executions are grouped, so a scalper and a swing trader may need different settings.

Imports handle trading transactions. Deposits, withdrawals and dividends are not read from the trade file; cash adjustments belong in Summary > Equity Curve. The main statistics use closed trades, although open positions remain visible in the trade table. Supported automatic connections normally sync every 24 hours, with a separate Sync button for a manual refresh.

Plan Monthly price in USD Main scope
Free $0 Stock journaling, 3,000 executions per month and basic charts
Pro $19 Unlimited imports, other asset types, multiple accounts, AI tools and API access
Platinum $29 Adds custom dashboards, pivot analysis, planning tools and broader simulators

An account is required, and paid features have a seven-day trial. The iOS and Android apps are included in the free tier.

For a new journal, compare one imported day's fills with the original statement before using the totals. Notes preserve context that the numbers cannot explain. Simulators and hypothetical exit analysis then provide separate research views alongside the record of trades actually taken.

Strengths

  • Links individual executions, daily calendars and aggregate reports
  • Documents timezone, currency and execution-grouping controls during import
  • Offers API access and custom analytical views on paid tiers

Watch out for

  • The free plan is limited to stock transactions and 3,000 executions per month
  • Cash movements require separate entries rather than the trade-file import

Best for

  • Traders who want detailed filters and configurable journal analysis
  • Users reviewing several accounts or asset classes on a paid plan
