What it does

Transistor offers podcast publishing, distribution management, show websites, private podcasts and audience analytics.

Upload a finished MP3, publish the episode and submit the generated RSS feed to listening directories. Each show has its own feed, website and analytics, while one account can manage multiple podcasts. Private feeds serve a different audience, such as a member group or an internal team.

Starter currently includes 20,000 monthly downloads and 50 private subscribers; larger plans raise those allowances. The pricing FAQ says sustained excess downloads lead to an upgrade conversation rather than an automatic audio shutoff. Individual uploads also have file-size limits, so unlimited shows does not mean every part of the service is unmetered.
