What it does

Translit RU combines a Russian virtual keyboard with Latin-to-Cyrillic and Cyrillic-to-Latin conversion and links to other language layouts.

Translit RU maps Latin keystrokes to Cyrillic, with ISO 9 and GOST 7.79 System B options for the conversion scheme. Esc or AutoConvert toggles live conversion. Direction buttons work on the selected text, or on the whole passage when nothing is selected, while SkipTags protects HTML or BBCode markup. This converts writing systems; the words still come from the user. Search and translation menus are separate actions that send the selected or whole passage to partner services, so choose them deliberately after checking the text scope.
