What it does
TravelSpend records travel expenses against a trip budget, converts costs into a home currency and shows spending by category. The Android and iPhone apps allow unlimited expense entries free of charge, with a paid Premium upgrade for features such as CSV export and debt balances.
Set the trip budget and home currency before adding purchases. Enter expenses as they happen, including when the phone is offline, so cash spending does not depend on finding a connection first. You can choose SKIP SIGN UP for anonymous use or create an account to access your trips from other devices.
Sharing a trip
Invite travelers who use TravelSpend, or add people locally if they do not have the app. Invited members can edit the shared trip, but only its owner can delete it. A member with expenses assigned to them cannot simply be removed by the owner; those entries first need reassignment or deletion.
Free and Premium
Premium adds custom categories, photos and map locations, income entries, custom exchange rates, searchable filters and unlimited active trips. To export a Premium trip, open Statistics, scroll down and tap Export to CSV.
Premium is sold through recurring subscriptions or lifetime access. The US App Store lists Lifetime Premium Access at US$59.99; offers and local prices vary. Debt viewing and settlement are also Premium features, so the free expense log is not the full group-balance tool.
