What it does

TRES FinOS aggregates digital-asset and banking data for accounting, reconciliation, reporting and historic financial review across entities. Finance teams add business context, check valuations and map transactions to accounting accounts before exporting or syncing them. Access and pricing are arranged with TRES for the organization's requirements.

TRES FinOS combines financial records from blockchain networks, exchanges and banking sources with business context. Accounting, reporting and reconciliation workflows use those enriched records.

Set the accounting controls first

In System Controls, enable cost-basis calculations and choose the reporting currency, calculation method and whether asset lots are grouped across the organization or separately by wallet. These choices should follow the organization's accounting policy.

Network collection has an unusual control: the checkbox list identifies networks to disable. Clear a network's checkbox to enable it. New activity arrives on the next collection, or through a manual Data Collect. Auto Data Collection can run daily.

Check the data before ERP posting

Start with Accounts > My Wallets and confirm the expected wallets and connections. In Assets, investigate Unbalanced items. Then use Ledger > More Filters > Missing Fiat Value to find transactions without a value in the reporting currency. A missing value can affect an asset's cost calculations across past and future periods.

On the ERP page, Manage rules maps transaction conditions to accounts. Use Export Report > Pre-Sync Journal to review the proposed accounting data. After synchronization, the Post-Sync report shows what reached the ERP; the Ledger's Failed integration filter identifies errors.

For an accounting system without a direct connection, Universal ERP uses imported account mappings and CSV output for manual upload. That route does not provide the Post-Sync report, so completion must be checked in the receiving system.

TRES offers a demonstration and scoped commercial access. Confirm the required networks, integrations and reporting work with its team before onboarding.

Strengths

  • Reconciliation distinguishes balanced and unbalanced assets and wallets
  • Pre-Sync and Post-Sync reports separate preparation from successful posting
  • Universal ERP supports accounting systems through CSV-based transfers

Watch out for

  • Universal ERP has no Post-Sync report
  • A missing fiat value can affect cost-basis calculations beyond one period
  • Network checkboxes disable collection when selected

Best for

  • Finance teams preparing digital-asset journals for their accounting system
  • Organizations reconciling wallets, exchanges and custodians together
