What it does

Trevor.io gives teams a visual query builder for database reporting, with SQL available for more technical work. It connects to sources such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery and Snowflake, and turns query results into charts, shared dashboards, alerts and connected workflows.

Trevor.io lets colleagues explore an existing business database using a visual Query Builder, with SQL available for technical work. An account can be created with Google or with an email address and password.

After connecting a database, add query steps through the table's column headers or the sidebar. A step can filter, sort or summarize the data. For outstanding orders, for example, filter to the relevant status before summarizing by customer. The result updates from the live database. Hover over a step to edit, disable or remove it, or jump back to inspect the result at that stage. Step order matters, and early filters can reduce the work a query needs to do.

Results can become charts, shared dashboards, alerts or live Google Sheets feeds. These recurring jobs use the same credit allowance as manual queries:

Plan Monthly price, USD Included access
Free 0 3,000 credits; core features; unlimited users and data sources
Pro 75 minimum Usage billing above the free allowance
Plus From 500 Custom arrangement; options include single sign-on, audit logs and self-hosting

Paid accounts pay the monthly minimum upfront, with additional usage charged afterward. A manual query costs three credits; each dashboard query refresh, alert run or data-feed refresh costs one. No card is needed for Free.

Trevor uses read-only database transactions and displays up to 100 result rows in the app. An on-screen preview therefore does not represent every row a query may return.

Strengths

  • Offers visual query building alongside SQL-based work.
  • Shares results through dashboards, alerts and live data feeds without a per-user free-tier limit.

Watch out for

  • Dashboard refreshes and scheduled workflows consume query credits as well as manual analysis.
  • The in-platform displayed result is limited to 100 rows.

Best for

  • Business teams querying an existing database without sending every reporting question to an analyst
