What it does
Trintech Adra combines transaction matching, balance-sheet reconciliation, journal entries and task management around an existing financial system. Finance teams can investigate unmatched items, set account-review thresholds and follow close tasks in a shared workspace. Adra is configured and priced with Trintech for the required modules and implementation.
Adra matches transactions across bank, card, POS, merchant and other source records. Its matching rules support one-to-one and more complex relationships, leaving exceptions for investigation and documentation.
How the close tools fit together
Matcher uses predefined rules to compare records from different systems. Staff work through the remaining exceptions and can match items manually. That gives a finance team a way to investigate, for example, a card settlement that does not match the sales records behind it.
Balancer organizes account reconciliation, supporting documents and review. Configurable variance thresholds determine which accounts can be certified automatically. If a balance changes after certification, the account needs revalidation rather than retaining an outdated sign-off.
Task Manager keeps close checklists, responsibility, documents and progress together. The suite connects transaction-level investigation with the account and task reviews needed for month-end close, while analytics shows progress across the process.
Implementation and access
Start with Trintech's demo and scoping process to establish which modules, data feeds and reconciliation rules the team needs. Pricing is by agreement. The statement of work describes implementation activities; figures within an onboarding package should not be treated as universal product limits.
Adra also publishes an API for integrations, so a technical team can assess automated data exchange alongside the finance workflow. Staff still need to resolve exceptions that fall outside the configured matching and certification rules.
Strengths
- Matching can compare several transaction feeds and complex relationships
- Balance changes can trigger revalidation after account certification
- Close tasks retain supporting documents and progress
Watch out for
- Transactions outside the matching rules require exception review
- A changed account balance can require another certification step
Best for
- Finance teams linking settlement exceptions to account reconciliation
- Controllers coordinating a documented month-end close
