If flights, accommodation and other reservations sit in separate email threads, forward the relevant confirmations to the address TripIt provides. Review the resulting itinerary so that it reflects the plans you intend to follow. You can add supporting items such as PDFs, photos or QR codes to the travel plans.
Sharing and calendar sync are useful when another person needs to know where you will be. The free offering also lists airport maps and nearby places. Decide whether you need the paid Pro features separately: the basic itinerary service and real-time flight alerts are presented as different levels of the product.
