What it does
TrulySmall Accounting combines bank-connected transaction posting, invoicing and financial reports. Users can define rules for how transactions are categorized and posted.
TrulySmall Accounting uses bank rules to categorize and post transactions. Items that need a decision wait in Inbox. Those unposted items are absent from the Dashboard and reports, so a full bank import does not by itself mean the books are complete.
When changing a category, Apply Once affects the selected item; Change Rule applies the choice to future transactions with the same merchant and type. Leave in Inbox holds those future transactions for review. Existing rules can be edited or deleted in Settings > Category Rules Editor. After reviewing selected entries, use Post Transactions to include them in the books.
| Accounting plan | Monthly price in USD | Annual subscription in USD | Main scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 14 | 150 | One user, invoices, expenses, receipt scanning and core reports |
| Growth | 20 | 216 | Five users, bank sync, categorization rules, bills and recurring transactions |
| Pro | 30 | 324 | Unlimited users, projects, cash forecasting and additional reports and integrations |
Accounting plans have a 14-day trial. Growth is the relevant starting point for the bank-connected automation described above. The separate TrulySmall Invoices product offers five free invoices, but that does not provide a free Accounting subscription.
Imported payments can be matched to invoices, connecting the money received with the customer document. If a transaction needs correction, the Inbox review and rule settings let you decide whether it is a one-off exception or a change to future bookkeeping.
