What it does

Trust Bank Singapore combines savings and card administration in one app, with real-time reward tracking. Its savings account has no monthly service fee or minimum balance and offers three interest-plan choices. Savings Pots organize goals, while Trust Lock adds a delay before protected money can be withdrawn.

Trust lets account holders choose how their savings plan rewards activity. Choose a plan when opening the account; later changes take effect the following month if requested in the app before month-end. Without a selection, the Signature plan applies.

Plan How it works
Flex Choose three of eight bonus conditions
Signature Bonus conditions cover salary, spending and balance
Zen A flat rate without qualifying activity

The savings account has no monthly service, fall-below or account-closure fee. There is no minimum balance or annual debit-card fee. Trust and Standard Chartered ATM withdrawals have no Trust withdrawal charge; an overseas ATM operator may levy its own fee.

Keeping goals apart

Create up to five Savings Pots and move money from the main account into them. Trust Lock provides a separate restriction: unlocking requires the Trust card and Trust Key, followed by a 12-hour cooling period. This is a meaningful delay for money that may be needed urgently.

The app also tracks reward progress and manages a supported card’s debit and credit modes, which have separate terms. Standard Chartered and FairPrice Group are the disclosed backing partners, linking the service with the FairPrice ecosystem.

After opening, an assigned account number allows the account to be used. PayNow can be registered with a mobile number or NRIC/FIN, and FAST transfers provide another funding route. This is a personal account in the holder’s own name.

Strengths

  • Three savings plans offer different ways to earn interest from account activity.
  • Savings Pots and Trust Lock provide distinct organization and access controls.

Watch out for

  • An existing account’s plan change starts the following month.
  • Trust Lock adds a 12-hour wait before unlocked money can be withdrawn.

Best for

  • Singapore account holders choosing between activity-based and flat-rate savings
  • FairPrice customers managing savings and card rewards in one app
