What it does
Astro is a macOS app for App Store keyword research, ranking history, competitor terms and rating analysis. It combines Apple Ads popularity data with its own difficulty estimates and supports keyword tags, notes and CSV workflows.
Use popularity and difficulty for different decisions. Popularity comes from Apple Ads, while difficulty is Astro's own estimate of ranking competition. Add a small relevant keyword group for one store and inspect the apps already ranking for it. The localized ranking list helps identify whether competitors are tailoring their metadata to that market. Notes can preserve a translation or the reason a term was shortlisted.
Watch the Last Update field when interpreting changes. Astro refreshes keywords every 24 hours while the application is running, and a large list can take time to finish. Position arrows compare with the position when the term was first added, so open its chart for a specific period rather than reading an arrow as yesterday's change. The single-Mac license costs USD 108 per year, with a fourteen-day refund period. Taxes may apply. It requires macOS 14 or later. Its store coverage follows markets where Apple Ads popularity data is available.
