What it does
TTCalc is an open-source mathematical calculator with user-defined variables, functions and configurable number bases.
TTCalc's documented 0.9.3 release uses binary floating-point arithmetic, custom variables/functions and independently selected input/output bases from 2 to 16. Its largest precision has a 1024-bit mantissa and 128-bit exponent, described as 306 valid decimal digits. The changelog explains selecting part of an expression and applying a function button to that selection, plus clipboard and angle-unit controls. The portable edition has one precision mode, unlike the standard build's three. Published Windows targets stop at Windows 7 and the listed release dates to 2011, so modern compatibility remains unverified.
Strengths
- Custom variables and functions
- Independent input and output number bases
Watch out for
- Published release and operating-system information are old
Best for
- High-precision calculations in a documented legacy environment
