What it does
tududi is an open-source task and life-organization system for individuals and small teams. It organizes tasks into projects and areas, with subtasks, priorities, due dates, recurring tasks, notes, smart views, project sharing, and optional hosted service.
Capture tasks and notes, group projects into life or work areas, and use recurring rules and smart views to plan. The self-hosted MIT-licensed version has no monthly fees, user limits, or feature paywalls; the vendor also offers hosted service. See the product page, documentation, and repository.
Strengths
- Self-hosted MIT-licensed app keeps task data under the operator’s control.
- Projects, areas, subtasks, recurring schedules, and smart views support layered organization.
- Hosted service is available for users who do not want to operate a server.
Watch out for
- The product is oriented toward personal organization and small teams, not enterprise portfolio governance.
- Self-hosted users manage updates and backups.
Best for
- Individuals organizing work and personal projects together
- Small teams seeking a self-hosted task manager with recurring tasks
