What it does
Typeland is a type design studio offering retail families, custom type and multiscript work. Its catalog includes Amifer, Zubtrak Stencil and Langar, with bespoke work across Indian writing systems.
Typeland’s custom projects include Devanagari, Bengali, Tamil and other Indian scripts, while its retail families have their own defined coverage. Amifer is a Latin sans with upright and italic styles; Langar combines Latin and Gurmukhi in an upright-italic, handwritten design. Use each family’s script information, glyph view and PDF specimen to choose the relevant route.
The product page leads through Select licenses, packages or individual styles, then checkout. Langar is listed from zero, while families such as Amifer are paid. The ordinary commercial licence follows the organisation’s total size, covers common print, web and app uses, and requires an upgrade if the business exceeds its tier. Broadcasting, hardware embedding and certain font-based products need separate arrangements.
Retail trials require registration or login and contain a small character set without OpenType features. Production purchases provide an immediate download after payment; later downloads are under My orders, View details, Download order. Designers and clients who both install fonts need their own coverage, and subcontractors are not automatically included in another organisation’s licence.
