What it does
Ubisoft Connect is Ubisoft’s account-based service for its games, friends and rewards. It is available through a desktop app and supported games.
Use Connect to manage your Ubisoft library and find friends across the supported gaming platforms. Cross-progression can be useful when changing devices, but Ubisoft explicitly says cross-play and cross-progression vary by game and platform. Check the specific game before expecting a save or multiplayer session to transfer.
The library can be organized and customized, and Connect can import Steam friends. Those account tools are separate from game entitlements: free access to Connect does not include a paid Ubisoft+ catalogue.
